KAIST 의과학연구센터에서는 기부자 고(故) Kan L. Agarwal 시카고 대학교 교수의 뜻에 따라 「Agarwal Award」를 제정하고 KAIST내에서 우수한 기초 생명과학 및 의과학 분야의 연구 업적을 낸 과학자에게 시상하고 있습니다. 「Agarwal Award」수상 후보자를 발굴하고자 아래와 같이 공고 하오니 우수한 연구결과가 있는 분들을 추천하여 주시기 바랍니다.

1. 시상규모

· 대상 : 1-2명 내외

· 본상 및 상금 3,000,000원 내외

 

2. 후보자 대상

· 과거 혹은 현재 KAIST 소속인 학생 및 연구원

· 수상일 기준 2년 이내(2016년 8월 1일부터 2018년 7월 31일) 발표된 논문

 

3. 수상자 추천방법

현재 Agarwal Award 수상자 심사소위원회 위원은 고규영 교수, 신의철 교수, 이지오 교수, 한용만 교수, 오병하 교수, 김하일 교수입니다. 본인 또는 타인의 우수한 연구결과가 있으면 실무위원장인 고규영 교수 또는 상기 위원 중 한 분에게 구두나 서면으로 수상 후보자를 추천해 주시기 바랍니다. 추천에 필요한 별도의 서류는 없습니다. 심사위원회에서는 어떤 형태로든 추천받은 후보와 심사위원회에서 자체 조사한 우수 연구자들을 구별하지 않고 심사합니다.

According to will of the late Kan L. Agarwal (Professor at U of Chicago), KAIST biomedical research center has conferred Agarwal Award to scientist who achieved great research outcome in Biological or Biomedical fields. Please recommend candidates for the award and find details as below.

2. Candidate qualification

· Student or researcher belongs to KAIST (in present or past)

· Published paper within two years (2016.8.1~2018.7.31)

3. Recommendation procedure

Please contact directly to jury in writing or orally. The judging committee consists of Prof. Gou Young Koh, Ui-Cheol Shin, Ji-Oh Lee, Yong Mahn Han, Byung-Ha Oh and Hail Kim. No document for recommendation is required. The committee discriminates the candidate based on recommendation route.
