1. Writing Research Articles
From idea to published article, an overview: A step-by-step process for developing an idea into an article, selecting a journal, dealing with writer's block and other writing problems, submitting the paper—responding to reviewers.
Anatomy of a research article: The components of a research article, selecting authors.
Technical editing: Being your own editor—enlisting the eyes of others—ensuring clarity through organization, proper grammar and word use—accurate reference citation—effectively incorporating tables and figures
2. Making Oral Presentations
Preparing an oral presentation: The standard organization of a research seminar; designing visual aids.
Delivering: Proper pace and density—your visual focus—dress—answering questions—handling stage fright and emergencies—speaking to multi-cultural audiences.
