행동은 뇌 속 수많은 신경세포들의 활동으로 나타나고, 이는 신경세포들을 연결하는 복잡한 신경회로의 조절을 통해 발현된다. 본 연구실은 커넥토믹스 연구를 바탕으로 AI를 활용해 전자현미경, 공간전사체 등 3차원 데이터를 분석하여, 기능을 예측할 수 있는 신경회로 구조를 밝히고, 나아가 기능이 망가지거나 다르게 나타나는 모델에서는 신경회로가 어떻게 달라지는지 탐구한다.

Behavior emerges from the activity of countless neurons, governed by the complex neural circuits that connect them. Through connectomics, our lab utilizes AI to analyze 3D data, such as electron microscopy and spatial transcriptomics, to uncover neural circuit structures underlying function. Furthermore, we investigate how these circuits change in models with impaired or distinctive functions.
