Throughout evolution, sleep has always been an integral part of our lives. The Neural Processing Lab explores the “infinite potential of the sleeping brain.” We study the neural processing mechanisms by which the sleeping brain forms memories. We also seek biological markers of dreaming and investigate how the dreaming brain contributes to higher cognitive functions such as creativity and innovative thinking.
